Ras Lipo - Ebefa
Ras Lipo - Ebefa

Dancehall gem Ras Lipo is out with a new song titled ‘Ebefa’; Produced by ItzJoe Beatz.

Mootivation has always been a trademark for this young chap and Ebefa is certainly one of those tunes.

Known as the face of dancehall in Kumasi, Ras Lipo has made it a point to stand by the accolade in all his projects and this one certainly stands for that.
Coming from the Ghetto, Ras Lipo has always made it a priority not just to project the ghetto boy’s struggles in His songs but to give motivation through his songs.

The mid-tempo song goes on to state that one has to believe in themselves in all that they do and not be stressed by what naysayers talk about.

Kwesi Tay - Ghana
Kwesi Tay - Ghana

As GHANA prepares to commemorate its 63rd Independence come March 6, 2020, this is a good time to celebrate and revive the national interest through music and arts.

CEO of Kwatay Entertainment finds no better way than to title his next song “GHANA”. He featured one of the rising but resounding music talents from Nungua called Dancehall Mantse on this one.

Kwasi Tay, popularly known as “Kwatay” who resides in Seattle, USA, is a very patriotic Ghanaian who seeks and supports the welfare and growth of his fellow countrymen, women and children.
Explaining the concept of the song, he says, “Our country is a blessed one and a very peaceful one that needs to be celebrated everyday, not just on Independence Day. We have a lot to be thankful for after the fight and toil of our forefathers who have created this sane environment for us. Though I celebrate GHANA everyday, I decided to highlight it more with our independence with this new song with the same title as the name of my beloved country, Ghana. Where I live far or not, Ghana is always in my heart and I feel the love from other fellow Ghanaians here abroad everywhere I go,” Kwasi Tay intimated.

Song video featured cameos of some key Ghanaian artistes like Samini and Jupitar. Award-winning Producer, Brainy Beatz was also spotted in the video. The video was shot on location in Accra, Ghana, with key highlights of the Black Star Square and it’s lovely coastline.

RJZ Signs With Twist Entertainment Legacy
RJZ Signs With Twist Entertainment Legacy
RJZ, the eccentric Ghanaian singer who first courted nationwide prominence as a member of the envelope-pushing Afro-trap collective, La Même Gang, has pitched camp with Twist Entertainment Legacy (TEL).

The deal, a 360 arrangement, makes him the second talent to sign with the Kwame Goka-led imprint (Kweku Afro being the first).

The musician behind the outstanding singles “Not Yours,’ “Bye Bye,” “Dangerous,’ and “Hello Daddy” describes his partnership with TEL as “an organic connection” that “simply felt right.”
Optimistic, RJZ (born Joshua Pharez Essuman Mensah) holds a firm conviction about what prospects lay ahead as a result of his signing.

“Obviously, there’s a lot we can both achieve if we bring what we got unto the table,” he says, adding that “joining forces will only bring out a positive outcome, and that’s the plan.”

He also maintains that despite this new move in his career, he remains a member of La Même Gang, with whom he has issued two albums. In June 2016, he issued his first solo project: FLAIR (For Love and Integrity Reigns).

Artist manager,Henry Akrong , who speaks for TEL, explains the decision of his outfit to pick up RJZ as an opportunity they simply could not pass on: “We listened to his catalogue and were very impressed by his dynamic style and vocal approach. He’s a great songwriter and performer. Once we connected with him, we knew we had made a good decision, and we’re super excited to announce him as a TEL act.”

Blonde-haired and bold, RJZ has been widely deemed an essential cultural voice among his peers, and a leader among the new crop of emerging stars.

An alumnus of the Mfantsipim School and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), RJZ can best be described as an outlier. His style of music—which he labels as “feels”—listens like a refreshing synthesis of hip-hop, R&B, highlife, Afrobeats, and Trap.

Thematically, his vision is to cater to essential subjects that speak to the sensibilities of lovers of wholesome music.

He is due to release a new single, his first under TEL, in coming days.

Tneeya - “Free Your Mind” Freestyle
Ghana- based German-Cameroonian chanteuse T’neeya (Jennifer Tania Takoh) gone viral on micro-blogging site twitter with her freestyle “Free your mind”.

The freestyle has garnered several views, re tweets and comments since its released by the Joli hit maker.

Simply referred to as “T”, the sultry singer is already widely considered a pioneering name in the contemporary urban music space, her graceful eccentricity and avant-garde melody ensuring that.

Alumnus of the University of Applied Sciences (Berlin), T’neeya is also author of “Hold Me Down”, a submission which adds to an elegant catalogue she’s building. Produced by respected programmer VACS, the song is widely-rotated across various platforms in the country, a clear testament to it’s quality.

T’neeya’s relationship with music started at a tender age: taking herself through the rudiments of songwriting, and steadily growing a committed following for her performance on a number of talent shows in her native Cameroon.

She herself did not realise the potential of her gift, till her parents started paying attention: “singing professionally wasn’t a reality for me, until my parents started noticing, I sounded good and gave me their blessing”, she recounts.

Signed onto Aristokrat records, Tneeya’s recent Joli topped urban radio charts here in Ghana
